Enterprise Platform Strategy · AI-Native Products

I find the gap in a market, turn it into a business, then build the team that runs it.

I identified the post-acute clinical documentation gap, brought the first purpose-built speech models into that market, and now lead nVoq's transition into an AI-native documentation strategy — a bet that now represents $6M+ in ARR.

From the post-acute market segment I opened for nVoq on an EHR-agnostic architecture

FHIR-first
Repositioned the platform from a dictation tool to a context-aware clinical data platform
01 The Story

Building the AI-native strategy for post-acute care

Recruited into a role created specifically for me, following the working relationship built during my time in technology strategy at Amedisys. I anchored nVoq's strategy in a clinician-in-the-lead model — AI should reduce clinician burden without removing the clinician from authorship — and set the Capture, Compose, Check, Complete framework as the shared language across product, engineering, clinical, and go-to-market teams.

01
Capture
Ambient conversational capture at the point of care
02
Compose
Context-aware clinical note composition
03
Check
Compliance checking against CMS and payor rules
04
Complete
Data integration back into the EHR of record
From dictation tool to context-aware clinical data platform.

I set the vision for a FHIR-first PHI architecture — sourcing Medplum as the headless EHR foundation and Corepoint as the integration engine — shifting the platform from capturing dictation alone to storing patient context, substantially increasing the value of nVoq data to its customers.

02 Organizational Strategy

Setting the direction for four functions that didn't exist yet

I made the case for a formal product organization and set the strategy that moved it forward — defining the roles, prioritizing the hires, and partnering with engineering and clinical leadership to get each function standing.

01
Product
Made the case for the first Director of Product role and set the direction that expanded ownership to three PMs across mobile, web, and data science.
02
Design
Prioritized the first UI/UX hire, supported growing the function to two, and implemented Figma to enable effective cross-team collaboration and hand-off.
03
Data Science
Partnered with engineering to prioritize the first data science hire, anchored by a PhD in Applied Statistics.
04
Clinical
Defined the Clinical Documentation Specialist role — OASIS and coding certified — and set the priorities for staffing it.
